Abdul-Baha's Fraudulent will and testament

A Bahai wrote on talk.religion.bahai, to a Haifan Baha'i,
>The non sequitor, red herring and straw man is all yours who refuse to show this thing [the purported will and testament of Abdul-Baha] to anyone.

My response:

They can't. It's a fraudulent will. Any qualified person
will agree with Dr. Mitchell, who was eminently qualified
to judge its authenticity in 1930. Only slander and the
Baha'i Technique have concealed it for the past 87 years
from most Bahais. That day is over. People can see for
themselves, with their own eyes, that something dreadfully
wrong has been perpetrated by the "administration." The
evidence is all over the Internet.... and in the ruined lives
and families of many tens of thousands of Bahais....

Larry,

You say below "the fact that the world order of Baha'u'llah is in
deed and in fact mutilated is denied by all those who claim to be
Baha'i regardless of which of the nine sects of Baha'ism they
belong to."

Actually, there are at least two Bahai denominations that do not
look to the fraudulent will and testament of Abdul-Baha, written
by Shoghi Effendi or someone else in his family, seeking worldly
power and wealth. The results of that fraudulent will have been
witnessed and experienced now by generations of Bahais. I am
sorry that you too have been personally impacted by it.

I believe, however, that the Faith of Baha'u'llah is beyond any
one interpretation of it, especially one that has demonstrated
so thoroughly, over so many decades, how far astray it has gone
from the Teachings.

Friends,

Souls continue to enter the Reform Bahai Faith from all over the United
States, Canada, Europe, and other parts of the entire world, asking for
guidance, care, direction, sustenance.

While Quaker John Woolman walked the highways and byways of America, Reform
Bahais surf the electronic information highway that now girdles and unites
the earth.

For those of you who might be unaware of it, I must inform you that the
Wilmette and Haifan Baha’is on December 6, 2006 commenced a lawsuit against
the Orthodox Baha’i Faith and the Bahá'ís Under the Provisions of the
Covenant, alleging in the courts of Illinois copyright and trademark
infringement. Court documents can be found on the Internet via
www.FG.com/bahaicensorship/

While the Wilmette NSA has since the 1930s repeatedly attempted to settle
issues of religious doctrine, liberty, and conscience in the courts of the
United States of America, I urge Reform Bahais to eschew such misguided
efforts to decide theology under the guise of corporate legalisms as
unseemly and contrary to the very spirit of brotherhood and unity that Baha’u’llah
and Abdu’l-Baha taught. Let us recall Abdu’l-Baha’s luminous Words, “This
movement eludes organization -- it is the realization of a new spirit.”

In the contentious context of this latest sullying of Baha’u’llah’s Faith,
we might reflect too on this passage from “On Bahai Liberty”:

“Reform Bahais choose to leave those who choose hatred, denunciation,
shunning, endless and unproductive argument and recrimination over Abdu’l-Baha’s
Will and Testament, seeking justification for fanaticism, over the Will of
Shoghi Effendi, which he never wrote or implied, or over the successors he
never intended or appointed, or over the oppressive organization Baha’u’llah
Himself never envisioned nor proclaimed.” www.reformbahai.org

Surely the many decades of denunciation and recrimination over Abdu’l-Baha’s
purported will, by those of all ideological viewpoints who claim to be its
guardians and interpreters, demonstrates how flawed it is, as it was judged
in 1930, and that the Baha’i Faith was led down the wrong path by those
attempting to use a fraudulent will for their own benefit. Reform Bahais
distinguish themselves by returning to the indisputable central Teachings of
the Faith, the oneness of God, religion, and humanity, leaving those who are
motivated by lust for power and control to coerce and discredit one another
in the legal system.

Surveying the last eighty-five years of Baha’i history, Reform Bahais can
not doubt for a single moment that our sister denomination has shown us what
Abdu’l-Baha meant when he said, “The Bahai Movement is not an organization.
You cannot organize the Bahai Movement.”

Let us together seek His meaning in “The Bahai Movement is the spirit of the
age. It is the essence of all the highest ideals of this century. The Bahai
Cause is an inclusive movement. The teachings of all religions and societies
are found here.”

Is this not the time to build the Reform Bahai Faith, to seek together how
it is not an “organization” but yet a “Movement”?

I call again upon Reform Bahais to consider a Convocation to seek His Will.

The attempts in this thread to discredit Dr. Mitchell and Ruth White are the usual ones used for
over 75 years by the usurpers of the Faith of Baha'u'llah. Slander and ad hominem are no more
convincing now than they have ever been. Note the attempt to shift from his conclusions and call for
an examination of the original to the man himself.

I ask the reader to reflect on the fact that Dr. Mitchell remains one of the most respected forensic
researchers of the 20th century and is still quoted and cited by academics and legal experts. His
professional integrity is beyond question as is his ability to assess the authenticity of the
purported will itself. As the document curator for the British Museum, Dr. Mitchell used techniques
and methods still widely used and recognized whether or not one has a command of the language being
scrutinized. Knowledge of a language in and of itself has never been the essential for handwriting
experts, and informed people know that to be a fact. Those who seek to conceal the act of forgery
hope to confuse the uninformed about what is involved.

"Documents And Their Scientific Examiniation" (1920)
Author: C. Ainsworth Mitchell
Date 1920
https://www.archive.org/details/DocumentsAndTheirScientificExaminiation

Ruth White:
"Dr. Mitchell's report also shows that none of the handwriting of the alleged will is the same as
the authentic specimens of Abdul-Baha's handwriting that were submitted to him" (69).

"Most persons are unaware of the fact that handwriting experts use modern inventions that measure
the slants, the spaces, and the tremors of writing so accurately that it makes the difference
between two specimens of different writing overwhelmingly apparent, when these are enlarged, even
though one of the specimens may be so clever a forgery of the other as to appear identical to the
naked eye" (69-70).

"Those Bahais who assert that they are familiar with the handwriting of Abdul-Baha, and have
compared it with the writing of the will, and have found them identical, reveal the fact that they
are either totally unaware of the science used by the best handwriting experts, or else fear has
prompted them to assert their belief in the authenticity of the will--fear of being excommunicated
if they so much as question the document. This science that the best handwriting experts use is so
mathematically accurate that any number of experts using these modern inventions will arrive at the
same results" (70).

"Dr. Mitchell not only spent months examining the enlarged specimens submitted to him, but he
examined minutely every line of the ten photographs of the alleged will, and his conclusion is that
it is not written throughout by the same person. This fact, in addition to others, indicates that
the will is spurious, especially if we bear in mind that Shoghi Effendi, and the Spiritual Assembly
of Bahai's, assert that every word of it is written in the hand of Abdul-Baha. Also if we bear in
mind that it is undated and unwitnessed, and that it contradicts the teachings that both Baha'u'llah
and Abdul-Baha gave during their lifetimes--that the Bahai Cause is a spiritual democracy and not a
theocracy. The appointment of an hereditary guardianship contradicts this" (69).

It has always been the desperate strategy of those who forged a will for Abdul-Baha to discredit
the incontestable evidence of their perfidy.
